Thank you for your interest in the City of Wheat Ridge's Open Space Management Plan update! Learn more about the plan and how you can get involved below.
About the Open Space Management Plan Update
The City of Wheat Ridge Division of Parks, Forestry, and Open Space is embarking on a long-range planning process to create a bold vision for the future of the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt, Clear Creek Trail, and open space assets! The Division is working with planning firm, Logan Simpson, to engage the community; evaluate existing conditions and future opportunities; identify alternatives and solutions to current challenges; and ultimately, present a compelling vision for the future of open space and the Clear Creek Trail that is supported by policy guidance in a user-friendly, actionable planning document.
The Wheat Ridge Open Space Management Plan will chart a course for the next 5-10 years of the City’s investment in open space and the Clear Creek Trail. Once complete, the plan will address current challenges, determine strategies for meeting future demands, and establish priorities for achieving the community’s shared vision. To launch this effort, the City is inviting the community to participate by investing 10-15 minutes to complete an online questionnaire and help chart the future of open spaces and trails in Wheat Ridge. This is the first of several opportunities to provide your input and ideas. Complete the questionnaire here.
