Now through November 30th, there are multiple opportunities to engage and provide your input on the Open Space Management Plan. Read below for details. Your input is valuable in shaping the eventual recommendations of the plan!

TRAIL USER SURVEY. Look for signs on the Greenbelt and along Clear Creek Trail with a QR Code to complete a short survey about your experience on the trail! Simply scan the QR code with your phone's camera and it will direct you to a short, 5-minute, survey about your experience on the trail that day. Complete the survey while you're on the trail or save the link to complete it soon after your conclude your visit. Your participation will help us understand use and visitation patterns and the quality of the user experience on the Clear Creek Trail.

ONLINE INTERACTIVE MAP ACTIVITIES. Click on the MAP tab on the project home page or click the links below to review and comment on potential ideas and alternatives that are being considered for the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt and Clear Creek Trail.

VIRTUAL FOCUS GROUP 11/30/22. Join City staff and the planning consultant for a virtual focus group on Wednesday, 11/30 from 5:30-7 p.m. We'll dig deeper into some of the key preliminary recommendations and alternatives of the plan and seek your feedback. Join City staff and the planning consultant team from 4:30-6:30pm on 9/27 for a drop-in style open house at the Recreation Center to learn more about the plan and tell us about your experience needs, preferences, and priorities for the Wheat Ridge Greenbelt, Clear Creek Trail, and Lewis Meadows. This is a joint open house with the 44th Avenue Subarea Plan.

The first stage of stakeholder and community engagement for the City of Wheat Ridge Open Space and Trail Management Plan, the Listening stage, took place from July through August 2022. This stage of outreach included of a robust series of engagement opportunities that engaged a total of 330 Wheat Ridge stakeholders at the time of this publication.
The PFOS Division and planning team utilized a variety of engagement tools to gather valuable feedback from community stakeholders regarding their experiences, challenges, opportunities, and values related to Wheat Ridge Open Space and the Clear Creek Trail. The purpose of these conversations was to:
• Stimulate community-wide awareness of the planning effort
• Solicit candid feedback from a broad cross-section of the
Wheat Ridge community, including residents and visitors to the City’s open spaces
• Identify key themes, opportunities, local values, and a future vision for open space and trails in Wheat Ridge

The City of Wheat Ridge is updating their Open Space Management Plan!
