Project Progress Update - September 2025
The Wadsworth Improvement Project remains on schedule, with completion expected by spring of 2026 and active construction finishing by late 2025.
This month, crews are focused on completing of barrier and curb concrete paving south of I-70. Work on pond structures is on-going. Work on irrigation and landscaping is underway throughout the entire corridor.
Two new continuous flow intersections (CFIs) are coming to Wadsworth Boulevard this fall as part of the Wadsworth Improvement project. CFIs will be installed at 38th Avenue and 44th Avenue to move more vehicles through the corridor with fewer delays.
Project Overview
This project includes modernizing and improving Wadsworth from 35th Avenue to I-70 with efficient and safe intersection designs, safer entrances and exits for vehicles accessing businesses, a continuous sidewalk on the west, and a bike/pedestrian path on the east side of Wadsworth from 35th Avenue to the Clear Creek Trail.
The project constructs continuous flow intersections (CFI) at both 38th Avenue and 44th Avenue, designed to keep traffic moving more efficiently by eliminating traditional left-turn signal phases. The project is expected to be complete in spring 2026.
