RESPEC Engineering will be working with the City of Wheat Ridge to develop a comprehensive Stormwater Master Plan (SWMP). The SWMP will identify and address the existing and future flood and drainage issues within the City of Wheat Ridge. The purpose of the SWMP is to identify known problematic flood areas and storm drainage system issues and to prioritize and recommend future projects and programs. RESPEC will identify alternatives to improve the storm drainage system, potential capital improvement projects, and other options that can provide stormwater solutions like Green Infrastructure or Nature-based Solutions.
Engaging With the Wheat Ridge Community
RESPEC and the City Staff kicked off the SWMP this May 2024 and will be looking to get input from the community starting in June 2024 through August 2024. Use our interactive map to identify areas of concern for stormwater in the community. We understand the importance of safety and want to be sure we capture the areas where the community needs improvement.
