Aerial concept design of the new Green at 38th Park with amenities and locations labeled

The Green at 38th, as of Friday 8/8/2025, is now open to the public! The official grand opening, which the whole community is invited to, is on Saturday, September 6th with activities and entertainment from 8am-9pm and the formal ribbon cutting at 10am.

The project team continues to do minor work at the site, but are excited to get this new space open to everyone ahead of schedule.

In 2018, the City of Wheat Ridge began public engagement on a project to transform the area between Stevens Elementary and 38th Ave into a future public gathering space. During the fall 2021 engagement phase, 177 respondents completed the project survey, ~30 attended the public meeting, and ~1,100 users visited the online project page. You can see the results from this engagement in the ""November 2021 Updates" section.
