Southbound Wadsworth Traffic Split starts Feb. 8

Starting the morning of Saturday, Feb. 8, the two southbound Wadsworth Boulevard travel lanes will split around a work zone from south of 44th Avenue to 35th Avenue. Southbound drivers must pick a lane when approaching the traffic split south of 44th Avenue.

The southbound traffic split will be in place for approximately 3,000 feet. This temporary lane configuration is necessary for up to three weeks while the contractor completes concrete paving in the center of Wadsworth.

Daily lane closures are expected on northbound Wadsworth during this work operation. Starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, southbound Wadsworth will be reduced to a single lane overnight (until 6 a.m. on Saturday) so crews can move traffic into the new alignment.

38th Avenue remains closed west of Wadsworth for full reconstruction. Construction is progressing as planned. 38th Avenue is currently on track to reopen on Monday, Feb. 17. More information on the 38th closure is available below. Since construction activities are highly dependent on weather conditions this time of year, this schedule is subject to change.
