Council adopted the 2022 Budget on October 11, 2021. View the Proposed Budget and check back in early December to see the final adopted version. No substantial changes were made between the Proposed and Adopted versions. An important part of the budget process is hearing from you, Wheat Ridge residents, about the priorities, programs and services that are most important to you. While the 2022 Budget Process has concluded, please continue to participate in the following activities:

  • Give Us Your Ideas! - In the first tab below, we are looking for your ideas on how we can best address specific areas that were identified as opportunities for improvement in this year's Resident Survey, such as City Attractiveness and Youth Programming. Let us know what you're thinking so we can dedicate the best resources.
  • Questions & Comments - If you have a general question or comment, feel free to leave it in the Questions box in the third tab below and we'll get back to you. Is there an "Idea" topic we missed? Let us know! Your opinions are very important to us and we are grateful for your participation in this process.

While developing the 2022 Budget, we specifically asked you your opinion about increasing recreation-related user fees to better align with our service sustainability model. The majority of respondents were supportive of moving forward with modest fee increases for facility rentals, field rentals and facility usage fees. Thank you for your feedback.

Many of you recently contributed feedback though different community engagement efforts, such as the Let’s Talk Resident Engagement Program, the Resident Survey, and Sustainable Wheat Ridge. Thank you for taking the time to provide your thoughts. Your input was taken into consideration while constructing the 2022 budget.

To check out the 2022 Proposed Budget, look at the Budget in Brief in the Helpful Documents section of this page. If you are a real budget fan, check out the full budget document. Thank you for your participation and feedback!
