How is this different from the Happiness Garden?

Unlike Happiness Garden, which has 50 separate rental plots, Randall Park will be one shared plot where neighbors work together to grow food for the whole community.

Do I need gardening experience to participate?

Not at all! We welcome all skill levels. The farm will include opportunities for training and mentorship from Mile High Farmers, Go Farm! and other experienced agriculture leaders.

How much time do I need to commit?

Participants commit about 10 hours a month. Leadership roles require around 15 hours per month. There will also be opportunities for people that only want to help now and then.

What will the City of Wheat Ridge provide?

The City will support infrastructure (fencing, electricity, irrigation, signage, tool shed, ADA access) and coordinate the overall program.

When will the farm be ready?

Infrastructure construction is expected through 2025–2026, with the full program launching in Spring 2027.

How can I get involved now?

Subscribe for updates on the city website and stay tuned for volunteer opportunities as we move into the design and construction phases.
