LMC IS MY HOSPITAL
Lutheran Hospital is a community hospital. I had both of my kids there 52 years ago. I worked there in Physical and Occupational therapy for 16 years before I retired, my husband worked there for 20 years in facilities. We live west of the hospital and both of us walked to and from work every day. My husband and I both had surgeries there over the years. It's a great hospital and I'm really sorry to see it go. The new hospital will never match the feelings we all have known about LMC. We live west of the hospital and watch the helicopters come in to the landing pad with injured patients. I really don't see why it has to move, it's been upgraded several times and has been one of the best hospitals in Colorado. We all worry about what is going to be there after it's gone. We don't need more condo and apartment units, we have to many as it is, and we don't need a shopping center. Wheat Ridge is a small community, that's why we live here.
