Longer Table
In a time when many people feel disconnected, something as simple as a shared meal can be transformative.
This September, we are setting one long table for 300 people to bring community members together for an afternoon of food, conversation, and connection. Wheat Ridge's Longer Table will take place on Sunday, September 27, from noon to 2 p.m. at The Green at 38th (7101 W. 38th Avenue).
More than just a meal, the event is an opportunity for residents to meet someone new, strengthen community ties, and celebrate what makes Wheat Ridge special. The vision is simple but powerful: to turn strangers into neighbors and neighbors into friends.
The event is being organized through a partnership of the City of Wheat Ridge, local businesses, Localworks, faith organizations, and community leaders from across Wheat Ridge.

About Longer Tables
Longer Tables is a Denver-based nonprofit organization that helps communities create connection and belonging by bringing people from all walks of life together around a shared meal. The organization believes that people flourish when they feel seen, known, and included.
This year, Longer Tables is coordinating the 150 Tables Across Colorado initiative in celebration of Colorado's 150th anniversary. Communities across the state are setting tables that encourage meaningful conversations and foster a stronger sense of belonging—one meal, one conversation, and one new connection at a time.
