For the week of Dec. 7, 2025

The first Continuous Flow Intersection (CFI) is opening on Wadsworth Boulevard at 38th Avenue on Tuesday, Dec. 9, pending weather. Crews will work overnight on Monday, Dec. 8 to change the traffic pattern by 6 a.m. Tuesday morning. This schedule may change. Please use extra caution while drivers adjust to the new CFI configuration.

In addition to Dec. 8, crews may also work overnight on Sunday, Dec. 7 to prepare for the new configuration. Overnight traffic control on both nights may involve lane closures, brief traffic holds, flaggers and uniformed traffic control officers. Periodic noise from construction activities and vehicles may occur.

A CFI is an innovative intersection design that changes the way left turns are made. Instead of waiting in the middle of the intersection, drivers making left turns will cross over before reaching the main intersection, guided by traffic signals and signs. For more information, including how to drive a CFI and what changes are coming, read the project FAQs on this page.

All work is weather-dependent, and the schedule is subject to change.
